Monoclonal Mouse Anti-Human
Placental Alkaline Phosphatase
Clone 8A9
The immunohistochemical detection of placental alkaline phosphatase has been shown to be of great value in the evaluation of many different types of germ cell neoplasia and carcinomas of the lung, stomach, pancreas, breast and ovary.
Seminoma (FFPE) stained with FLEX Anti-Placental Alkaline Phosphatase, Code IR779/IS779.
Seminoma. The majority of the neoplastic cells show a moderate to strong predominantly membranous, but also cytoplasmic staining reaction.
Clinical application for IR779/IS779 For identification of malignant germ cell tumors such as dysgerminoma and embryonal carcinoma.
Disclaimer: Due to variances among color computer monitors, the colors you see on your screen may not be the exact colors of the stain. The image you see should be considered close renditions to the actual stain.
- Optimized staining performance of both high- and low-expression structures
- Crisp and clear staining with no background
- Optimal laboratory efficiency with ready-to-use antibodies on Dako Autostainer Plus
FLEX Monoclonal Mouse Anti-Human Placental Alkaline Phosphatase, Clone 8A9, Ready-to-Use (Dako Autostainer/Autostainer Plus), is intended for use in immunohistochemistry together with Dako Autostainer/ Autostainer Plus instruments. This antibody labels cells expressing placental alkaline phosphatase (PLAP) and PLAP-like alkaline phosphatase, also named germ cell AP (GCAP) (1). This antibody is useful for the identification of seminomas (2) and desmoplastic small round cell tumors (3). Antibodies to PLAP/GCAP are particularly useful for the identification of germ cell tumors (4-6). The clinical interpretation of any staining or its absence should be complemented by morphological studies using proper controls and should be evaluated within the context of the patient's clinical history and other diagnostic tests by a qualified pathologist.
