Polyclonal Rabbit Anti-Human
Lysozyme EC 3.2.1.17 (Muramidase)
A0099 was previously used particularly for identification of histiocytic neoplasias and myeloid leukemias, (1, 2). Lysozyme isolated from urine of patients with monocytic leukemia has been used for immunization.

Intended Use
For in vitro diagnostic use.
Polyclonal Rabbit Anti-Human Lysozyme EC 3.2.1.17, Code A0099, is intended for the determination of human lysozyme in gel immunoprecipitation techniques, immunoblotting (1) and immunocytochemistry (2). Interpretation of results must be made within the context of the patient's clinical history and other diagnostic tests by a certified professional.

Immunogen
Lysozyme isolated from urine of patients with monocytic leukaemia.
Specificity
The antibody reacts with lysozyme. Traces of contaminating antibodies have been removed by solid-phase absorption with human plasma and urine proteins.
The specificity of the antibody has been ascertained as follows:
Crossed immunoelectrophoresis: Only the lysozyme precipitation arch appears when using 12.5 µL A0099 per square cm gel area against 2 µL of concentrated urine from patients with monocytic leukaemia. No precipitation arch is seen when the antibody is tested against 2 µL normal human plasma or 2 µL concentrated urine from patients with tubular proteinuria. Staining: Coomassie Brilliant Blue.

Reagent Provided
Purified immunoglobulin fraction of rabbit antiserum provided in liquid form. In 0.1 mol/L NaCl, 15 mmol/L NaN3.
Protein concentration g/L: See label on vial.
The titre variation between different lots of A0099 is less than 10%. This is achieved by adjusting the titre of each individual lot to match the titre of an antibody reference preparation kept at -80 °C.
