Monoclonal Mouse Anti-
Pneumocystis Jiroveci
Clone 3F6
Reacts with an antigenic epitope highly specific for P. jiroveci (P. carinii) fungus.
The antibody is well-suited for detection of P. jiroveci in formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded lung tissue.
Lung (FFPE) stained with FLEX Anti-Pneumocystis Jiroveci, Code IR635/IS635.
Lung infected with Pneumocystis jiroveci. The cyst walls of the Pneumocystis jiroveci show a moderate to strong staining reaction, while the trophozites show a weak to moderate, diffuse and granular staining reaction.
Clinical application for IR635/IS635 For identification of Pneumocystis jiroveci, previously known as P. carinii.

- Optimized staining performance of both high- and low-expression structures
- Crisp and clear staining with no background
- Optimal laboratory efficiency with ready-to-use antibodies on Dako Autostainer Link 48
FLEX Monoclonal Mouse Anti-Human Pneumocystis Jiroveci, Clone 3F6, Ready-to-Use (Link), is intended for use in immunohistochemistry together with Autostainer Link instruments. This antibody is useful for the identification of Pneumocystis jiroveci (P. jiroveci) (1). The clinical interpretation of any staining or its absence should be complemented by morphological studies using proper controls and should be evaluated within the context of the patient's clinical history and other diagnostic tests by a qualified pathologist.
