Tag Search Results: Alkaline phosphatase (AP)
AP is an enzyme which catalyze the oxidation of substrates, e.g. Fast Red, yielding a red-colored end product. AP is often conjugated to an antibody to yield a colored reaction at the site of the antigen/antibody complex. Addition of levamisole to the chromogen/substrate will inhibit endogenous alkaline phosphatase activity, with the exception of the intestinal isoform.
