Monoclonal Mouse Anti-Human

BCL6 Protein

Clone PG-B6p

The BCL6 gene encodes a 706 amino acid nuclear protein of the Kruppel-type zinc finger protein.

It is rearranged in about 30% of diffuse large B-cell lymphomas, and is expressed predominantly in normal germinal centre B cells and related lymphomas (1). The antibody gives a strong nuclear labeling of BCL6 protein in follicular lymphomas, diffuse large B-cell lymphomas, Burkitt's lymphomas, and nodular, lymphocyte-predominance Hodgkin's disease. The PG-B6p antibody is useful for differentiating proliferation centres in B-CLL (BCL2+/BCL6-) from trapped germinal centres (BCL2-/BCL6+) in mantle cell lymphomas, and for identifying neoplastic cells in cases of nodular, lymphocyte-predominance Hodgkin's disease. BCL6 protein is not expressed in B-CLL, hairy cell leukemia, mantle cell and marginal-zone derived lymphomas (2, 3).

Diffuse large B-cell lymphoma (germinal center subtype). The majority of the neoplastic cells show a distinct nuclear staining reaction.

Clinical application for IR625/IS625. For classification of diffuse large B-cell lymphomas, follicular lymphomas and Burkitt lymphoma/leukemia.

Follicular lymphoma. The majority of the neoplastic cells show a distinct nuclear staining reaction.

Clinical application for IR625/IS625. For classification of diffuse large B-cell lymphomas, follicular lymphomas and Burkitt lymphoma/leukemia.

Tonsil. The majority of the germinal center B cells show a moderate to strong nuclear staining reaction.

Recommended control for IR625/IS625. Tonsil.

Tonsil. The squamous epithelial cells show a weak to moderate nuclear staining reaction.

Recommended control for IR625/IS625. Tonsil.

Primary mediastinal B-cell lymphoma stained with Anti-BCL6 Protein.

Clinical application for IR625/IS625. For classification of diffuse large B-cell lymphomas, follicular lymphomas and Burkitt lymphoma/leukemia.
