Monoclonal Mouse Anti-Human
B-Cell-Specific Activator Protein
Clone DAK-Pax5
B-cell-specific activator protein, BSAP, also known as Pax-5, is a transcription factor expressed in B cells.
Antibodies to BSAP may be useful for the identification of pro, pre, and mature B cells and in the classification of lymphomas. Together with a panel of antibodies it is particularly useful in the differential identification of classic Hodgkin's disease versus anaplastic large cell lymphoma of the T and null-cell type.
Isotype IgG1, kappa

Hodgkin's lymphoma (FFPE) stained with FLEX Anti-BSAP, Code IR650/IS650.
Hodgkin's lymphoma. The Reed-Sternberg cells show a weak to moderate nuclear staining reaction.
Clinical application for IR650/IS650. For identification of pro/pre B cells, mature B cells and in the classification of lymphomas
B-cell chronic lymphatic leukemia/small lymphocytic lymphoma. The majority of the neoplastic cells show a moderate to strong nuclear staining reaction.
Clinical application for IR650/IS650. For identification of pro/pre B cells, mature B cells and in the classification of lymphomas
Tonsil. The B cells in the mantle zone and in the germinal center show a moderate to strong nuclear staining reaction. The germinal center B cells also show a weak cytoplasmic staining reaction. No staining reaction should be seen in plasma cells or in the squamous epithelial cells.
Recommended control for IR650/IS650. Tonsil.
Hodgkin's lymphoma stained with Anti-BSAP.
Clinical application for IR650/IS650. For identification of pro/pre B cells, mature B cells and in the classification of lymphomas

Monoclonal Mouse Anti-Human B-Cell-Specific Activator Protein, Clone DAK-Pax5, is intended for use in immunohistochemistry. Antibodies to B-cell-specific activator protein (BSAP) may be useful for the identification of pro-, pre-, and mature B cells and in the classification of lymphomas (1-4). Together with a panel of antibodies it is particularly useful in the differential identification of classic Hodgkin's disease versus anaplastic large cell lymphoma of T- and null-cell type (1, 3). The clinical interpretation of any staining or its absence should be complemented by morphological studies using proper controls and should be evaluated within the context of the patient's clinical history and other diagnostic tests by a qualified pathologist.
Clone: DAK-Pax5. Isotype: IgG1, kappa.
Mouse IgG concentration mg/L: See label on vial.
The protein concentration between lots may vary without influencing the optimal dilution. The titer of each individual lot is compared and adjusted to a reference lot to ensure a consistent immunohistochemical staining performance from lot-to-lot.
