Monoclonal Mouse Anti-Human
Beta-Catenin
Clone β-Catenin-1
Beta-catenin is an 88 kDa multifunctional protein playing an essential role in cell-cell adhesion by binding to the transmembrane protein, cadherin.
Beta-catenin is also involved in the regulation of gene expression as a mediator of the Wnt signaling pathway. The expression and intracellular localization of beta-catenin is altered in many types of cancers. Besides the reactivity with human beta-catenin, the M3539 antibody cross-reacts with mouse beta-catenin.
Colon adenocarcinoma (FFPE) stained with Anti-Beta-Catenin, Code IR702/IS702.
Colon adenocarcinoma. Many of the neoplastic cells show a moderate to strong nuclear staining reaction, while the normal epithelial cells show a membranous staining reaction.
Clinical application for IR702/IS702. For identification of desmoid tumors, colorectal cancer and colon adenoma.
Disclaimer: Due to variances among color computer monitors, the colors you see on your screen may not be the exact colors of the stain. The image you see should be considered close renditions to the actual stain.
- Optimized staining performance of both high- and low-expression structures
- Crisp and clear staining with no background
- Optimal laboratory efficiency with ready-to-use antibodies on Dako Autostainer Plus
FLEX Monoclonal Mouse Anti-Human Beta-Catenin, Clone β-catenin-1, Ready-to-Use (Dako Autostainer/Autostainer Plus), is intended for use in immunohistochemistry together with Dako Autostainer/Autostainer Plus instruments. This antibody is useful for the identification of desmoid tumors (1) and colorectal cancer (2). Antibodies to β-catenin may also be useful for the identification of colon adenoma (3). The clinical interpretation of any staining or its absence should be complemented by morphological studies using proper controls and should be evaluated within the context of the patient's clinical history and other diagnostic tests by a qualified pathologist.
