Monoclonal Mouse Anti-Human
Follicular Dendritic Cell
Clone CNA.42
Recognizes a non-lineage restricted 120 kDa antigen expressed on follicular dendritic cells. In malignant lymphomas, follicular dendritic cells, either forming network or scattered among malignant cells, are detected by the antibody. In particular in follicular lymphomas, the follicular pattern is highlighted. In some T-cell lymphomas the malignant cells are stained by the antibody. Only a few cases of B-cell lymphomas react with the antibody. This antibody is useful for demonstrating follicular dendritic reticulum cell network in nodular, lymphocyte-predominant Hodgkin's disease. Follicular dendritic reticulum cell sarcoma and EBV-positive inflammatory pseudotumors of FDC origin are also positive. M7157 is a good supplement, or alternative, to Dako's Anti-Human CD21 and CD35 monoclonal antibodies (Codes M0784 and M0710) for the demonstration of follicular dendritic cells (1, 2).

Monoclonal Mouse Anti-Human Follicular Dendritic Cell, Clone CNA.42, is intended for use in immunocytochemistry. The antibody labels a 120 kDa antigen expressed on follicular dendritic cells. The antibody may be a useful tool for the identification of follicular dendritic cells, either forming network or scattered among malignant cells, in reactive lymphoid tissue, follicular lymphomas and Hodgkin´s disease (1). Differential identification is aided by the results from a panel of antibodies. Interpretation must be made within the context of the patient's clinical history and other diagnostic tests by a qualified pathologist.
As demonstrated by immunocytochemistry, the antibody cross-reacts with FDCs in bird, cat, cow, dog, goat, horse, monkey, mouse, rabbit, rat, sheep and swine (1).
Clone: CNA.42. Isotype: IgM, kappa.
