Optimized Immunohistochemistry Workflow Facilitated by New Dako Autostainer Link 48 Software

Dako has released software that shortens the staining time on its Autostainer Link 48 immunohistochemistry instrument. A research team in Bowmanville, Ontario, evaluated the new software (version 3.1.1) in parallel with the previous version. The team summarized its findings in a white paper titled “Optimized immunohistochemistry workflow facilitated by New Dako Autostainer Link 48 software” which is available below.

White Paper on Autostainer Link 48 Software The team found that with the new software the staining time for 48 slides on the Autostainer Link 48 was reduced from more than four to about two and a half hours. This means two full runs (96 slides in total) can be completed in about six and a half hours, and three full runs (144 slides) can be completed in nine hours. Other benefits of the software were significant reductions in the wash buffer used (from about 6 to 4.5 L for 48 slides) and amount of waste generated. *
