The use of a universal negative control antibody is recommended to ascertain non-specific staining and will allow better interpretation of specific staining at the antigenic site. These reagents may be used to aid in the identification of cells, tissues or tissue components which may non-specifically bind antibodies. In some tissues, non-specific binding may occur, especially in neoplastic or necrotic tissue.
