Monoclonal Mouse Anti-Human
Inhibin α
Clone R1
Inhibin is a dimeric glycoprotein hormone comprised of an α and a β subunit.
It is produced by ovarian granulosa cells and inhibits the production or secretion of pituitary gonadotropins, particularly follicle-stimulating hormone. The antibody was raised against the terminal 1-32 amino acid sequence of the inhibin α subunit. In abnormal ovarian tissues, inhibin α is a sensitive marker for the majority of sex-cord-stromal tumors.
Granulosa cell tumor (FFPE) stained with FLEX Anti-Inhibin α, Code IR058/IS058.
Granulosa cell tumor. The tumor cells show a moderate to strong granular cytoplasmic staining reaction.
Clinical application for IR058/IS058 For identification of ovarian sex cord and stromal tumors such as granulosa cell tumor. Other positive tumors include complete hydatiform mole, gynandroblastoma and adrenal cortical adenocarcinoma.

- Optimized staining performance of both high- and low-expression structures
- Crisp and clear staining with no background
- Optimal laboratory efficiency with ready-to-use antibodies on Dako Autostainer Plus
FLEX Monoclonal Anti-Human Inhibin α, Clone R1, Ready-to-Use (Dako Autostainer/Autostainer Plus), is intended for use in immunohistochemistry together with Dako Autostainer/Autostainer Plus instruments. This antibody is useful for the identification of ovarian tumors such as ovarian sex cord-stromal tumors (SCST). The clinical interpretation of any staining or its absence should be complemented by morphological studies using proper controls and should be evaluated within the context of the patient's clinical history and other diagnostic tests by a qualified pathologist.
Clone: R1 (1). Isotype: IgG2a, kappa.
