CD19
Clone LE-CD19
CD19 is the broadest lineage-specific surface marker for B cells.
CD19 is present on the surface of virtually all B lymphocytes, including early B-progenitor cells, but it is lost upon terminal differentiation to plasma cells. CD19 is also expressed on follicular dendritic cells (1). B-lineage leukemias and lymphomas rarely lose the CD19 antigen (2).

Precursor B-cell lymphoblastic leukemia/lymphoma (FFPE) stained with FLEX Anti-CD19, Code IR656/IS656.
Precursor B-cell lymphoblastic leukemia/lymphoma. The majority of the neoplastic cells show a moderate to strong predominantly membranous staining reaction.
Clinical application for IR656/IS656. For identification of B cells in normal and neoplastic tissue.

FLEX Monoclonal Mouse Anti-Human CD19, Clone LE-CD19, Ready-to-Use (Dako Autostainer/Autostainer Plus), is intended for use in immunohistochemistry together with Dako Autostainer/Autostainer Plus instruments. This antibody labels B cells in normal and neoplastic tissue. The clinical interpretation of any staining or its absence should be complemented by morphological studies using proper controls and should be evaluated within the context of the patient's clinical history and other diagnostic tests by a qualified pathologist.
