Hybridizer for Molecular Pathology
Hybridizer is a hands-free denaturation and hybridization instrument designed for slide-based fluorescence and chromogenic in situ hybridization (FISH and CISH, respectively) on histology and cytology samples.
The instrument allows for semi-automation of ISH by eliminating steps in the time-intensive manual procedure and can be integrated in laboratories working with the Dako Autostainer Plus and other Dako systems.
In situ hybridization (ISH) techniques are used to localize specific nucleic acid sequences within the cells of tissues or cytological preparations, on chromosomes or in whole mounts. Dako provides a wide variety of probes aimed at the most predominant molecular tests performed in anatomic pathology. Dako has successfully introduced the peptide nucleic acid (PNA) probe, a nucleotide analogue capable of binding to DNA/RNA in a sequence-specific manner. This increases the affinity of our probes thereby enhancing the visualization. Furthermore, the PNA's are very stable - no degradation by DNases, RNases, proteinases or peptidases have been observed in clinical experiments leaving you with the optimal test results.
Hybridizer can be used together with many of our molecular pathology reagents. Please see Molecular Pathology reagents.
