Monoclonal Mouse Anti-Human
Progesterone Receptor
Clone PgR 636
Progesterone receptor (PR) is a steroid hormone receptor that plays an important role in breast cancer. The absence of PR and estrogen receptor (ER) predicts early recurrence and poor survival of breast cancer patients.
The antibody to PR is useful for measuring the relative level of expression of progesterone receptor in breast cancer tissue. This antibody is indicated for use as an aid in the management, prognosis and prediction of outcome of breast cancer.

Breast ductal carcinoma (FFPE) stained with FLEX Anti-Progesterone Receptor.
Breast ductal carcinoma. The neoplastic cells show a strong nuclear staining reaction
Clinical application. For measuring of the relative level of expression for progesterone receptor in breast cancer tissue. It also labels meningioma cells.
Meningioma. Most neoplastic cells show a distinct nuclear staining reaction.
Clinical application. For measuring of the relative level of expression for progesterone receptor in breast cancer tissue. It also labels meningioma cells.
Uterine cervix. Epithelial cells and stromal cells show a strong staining reaction.
Recommended control. Cervix/Breast.
Breast. Ductal epithelial cells show a moderate to strong nuclear staining reaction. Some cytoplasmic staining is acceptable.
Recommended control. Cervix/Breast.
Breast carcinoma stained with Anti-Progesterone Receptor, Code M3569.

Monoclonal Mouse Anti-Human Progesterone Receptor, clone PgR 636 is intended for laboratory use for the semi-quantitative detection of progesterone receptor by light microscopy in normal and pathological human paraffin-embedded tissue processed in neutral buffered formalin. This antibody is indicated for use as an aid in the management, prognosis and prediction of outcome of breast cancer. Positive results aid in the classification of normal and abnormal cells/tissues and serve as an adjunct to conventional histopathology. The clinical interpretation of any positive staining or its absence should be complemented by morphological and histological studies with proper controls. Evaluations should be made within the context of the patient's clinical history and other diagnostic tests by a qualified individual.
Clone: PgR 636 (1). Isotype: IgG1, kappa.
Mouse lgG concentration mg/L: See label on vial.
The protein concentration between lots may vary without influencing the optimal dilution. The titer of each individual lot is compared and adjusted to a reference lot to ensure a consistent immunohistochemical staining performance from lot-to-lot.
