Monoclonal Mouse Anti-Human
Carcinoembryonic Antigen (CEA)
Clone II-7
Monoclonal antibodies to CEA have been classified into five essentially non-interacting epitope groups, designated Gold 1 to 5. Dako Anti-CEA, clone II-7, belongs to epitope group Gold 1 and shows a high degree of CEA specificity (1).
CEA is a clinically important marker for adenocarcinomas, notably in the gastrointestinal tract, including colonic and pancreatic carcinomas. The characteristic CEA expression of secretory meningiomas is labeled by the antibody (2). Antibodies to CEA may also be useful for the identification of medullary carcinoma of the thyroid (3).

Colon adenocarcinoma (FFPE) stained with FLEX Anti-CEA, Code IR622/IS622.
Colon adenocarcinoma. The majority of the neoplastic cells show a distinct and predominantly cytoplasmic staining reaction.
Clinical application for IR622/IS622. For identification of carcinoembryonic antigen (CEA)-positive glycocalyx surface of gastrointestinal cells and colon carcinoma.

- Optimized staining performance of both high- and low-expression structures
- Crisp and clear staining with no background
- Optimal laboratory efficiency with ready-to-use antibodies on Dako Autostainer Plus
FLEX Monoclonal Mouse Anti-Human Carcinoembryonic Antigen (CEA), Clone II-7, Ready-to-Use (Dako Autostainer/Autostainer Plus), is intended for use in immunohistochemistry together with (Dako Autostainer/ Autostainer Plus instruments. This antibody labels the CEA-positive glycocalyx surface of gastrointestinal cells and is useful for the identification of colon carcinomas (1). Antibodies to CEA may also be useful for the identification of medullary carcinoma of the thyroid (2). In addition, the characteristic CEA expression of secretory meningiomas, is labeled by the antibody (3). The clinical interpretation of any staining or its absence should be complemented by morphological studies using proper controls and should be evaluated within the context of the patient's clinical history and other diagnostic tests by a qualified pathologist.
Using solid-phase competitive immunoassays, monoclonal antibodies to CEA have been classified into five essentially non-interacting epitope groups called GOLD 1-5. Monoclonal antibodies with a high degree of CEA specificity generally belong to epitope groups GOLD 1 or 3. Monoclonal Mouse Anti-Human Carcinoembryonic Antigen (CEA), Clone II-7, belongs to epitope group GOLD 1 (8).
Clone: II-7 (3). Isotype: IgG1, kappa.
