Monoclonal Mouse Anti-Human
CD105, Endoglin
Clone SN6h
Endoglin is a type I transmembrane protein which is highly expressed on human vascular endothelial cells. A large variety of tissues express endoglin. It is recommended to use a highly sensitive visualization system when the antibody is used on formalin-fixed tissue.

Endoglin is a Type I transmembrane protein which is highly expressed on human vascular endothelial cells. Up-regulation of endoglin expression has been demonstrated in tumor vasculature and proliferating cells, suggesting that it is a proliferation-associated endothelial cell marker (2,3). Endoglin exists as an O- and N-glycosylated homodimer of 95 kD subunits and was designated CD105 at the Fifth International Workshop on Leucocyte Differentiation Antigens (Boston) (4). The clinical interpretation of any positive staining or its absence should be complemented by morphological and histological studies with proper controls. Interpretation must be made within the context of the patient's clinical history and other diagnostic tests by a qualified pathologist.
