Immunogen
IgA, IgG, IgM, isolated from human serum.
Specificity
The antibody used for conjugation is specific for human immunoglobulins and reacts with human IgA (alpha-chains), IgG (gamma-chains), IgM (mu-chains), kappa and lambda.
The antibody has been produced by the mixing of 3 reagents: anti-human IgA (alpha-chains), anti-human IgG (gamma, kappa and lambda chains) and anti-human IgM (mu-chains). The specificity of the three reagents has been ascertained individually by crossed immunoelectro¬phoresis. Trace amounts of contaminating antibodies have been removed by solid-phase absorption with human plasma proteins.
The antibody may cross-react with immunoglobulins from other species.

Reagent Provided
P0212 is the purified immunoglobulin fraction of rabbit antiserum conjugated with horseradish peroxidase (HRP) of very high specific enzymatic activity. The coupling reaction is a modification, developed at Dako, of the two step glutaraldehyde method of Avrameas and Ternynck (3). The reaction is gentle, efficient, highly reproducible and gives conjugate molecules of Mr predominantly 200 000 to 240 000. The conjugate is provided in liquid form in 0.05 mol/L Tris/HCI, 15 mmol/L NaN3, pH 7.2.
