Monoclonal Mouse Anti-
Myogenin
Clone F5D
Myogenin belongs to a family of regulatory proteins essential for muscle development. Expression of myogenin is restricted to cells of skeletal muscle origin, and appears to be inversely related to the degree of cellular differentiation.
The antibody recognizes an epitope located in the amino acid region 138-158 of the myogenin protein. It labels nuclei in the majority of human rhabdomyosarcomas and Wilms' tumors. No reactivity with Ewing's sarcoma/peripheral primitive neuroectodermal tumor, neuroblastoma, or adult skeletal muscle has been observed. Myogenin peptide from rat has been used for immunization.
Isotype IgG1, kappa

Rhabdomyosarcoma (FFPE) stained with FLEX Anti-Myogenin, Code IR067/IS067.
Rhabdomyosarcoma. Tumor cells show a moderate to strong nuclear staining reaction.
Clinical application for IR067/IS067 For identification of rhabdomyosarcoma and Wilms' tumor.
Wilms' tumor. Some tumor cells show a strong nuclear staining reaction.
Clinical application for IR067/IS067 For identification of rhabdomyosarcoma and Wilms' tumor.
Leiomyosarcoma. Tumor cells are negative for myogenin.
Recommended control for IR067/IS067. Leiomyosarcoma/Rhabdomyosarcoma.

Clone: F5D (1). Isotype: IgG1, kappa.
Mouse lgG concentration mg/L: See label on vial.
The protein concentration between lots may vary without influencing the optimal dilution. The titer of each individual lot is compared and adjusted to a reference lot to ensure a consistent immunohistochemical staining performance from lot-to-lot.

- Optimized staining performance of both high- and low-expression structures
- Crisp and clear staining with no background
- Optimal laboratory efficiency with ready-to-use antibodies on Dako Autostainer Link 48
FLEX Monoclonal Mouse Anti-Myogenin, Clone F5D, Ready-to-Use (Link), is intended for use in immunohistochemistry together with Autostainer Link instruments. This antibody labels myogenin protein in normal and neoplastic tissue such as rhabdomyosarcoma and Wilms' tumor (1). The clinical interpretation of any staining or its absence should be complemented by morphological studies using proper controls and should be evaluated within the context of the patient's clinical history and other diagnostic tests by a qualified pathologist.
