Monoclonal Mouse Anti-

Vimentin

Clone V9

Vimentin is a 57 kDa intermediate filament protein which forms part of the cytoskeleton of vertebrate cells and is characteristically found in cells of mesenchymal origin.

The coexpression of intermediate filaments, particularly vimentin and cytokeratin, has been demonstrated in a variety of normal cells/tissues and in neoplastic lesions, necessitating the use of antibodies against other types of intermediate filaments. The antibody is useful for the identification of cells of mesenchymal origin in normal and neoplastic tissues.

B-cell chronic lymphocytic leukemia (FFPE) stained with FLEX Anti-Vimentin, Code IR630/IS630.

B-cell chronic lymphocytic leukemia/small lymphocytic lymphoma. The majority of the neoplastic cells show a distinct cytoplasmic staining reaction

Clinical application for IR630/IS630. For identification of cells of mesenchymal origin in normal and neoplastic tissues such as B-cell chronic lymphocytic leukemia/small lymphocytic lymphoma.

Tonsil. Lymphocytes and endotehelial cells show a strong cytoplasmic staining reaction. Stromal cells and endothelial cells should be demonstrated.

Recommended control for IR630/IS630. Tonsil/Liver/Appendix/Colon.

Liver. The macrophages and lymphocytes show a weak to moderate staining reaction, while the hepatocytes are negative.

Recommended control for IR630/IS630. Tonsil/Liver/Appendix/Colon.

Disclaimer: Due to variances among color computer monitors, the colors you see on your screen may not be the exact colors of the stain. The image you see should be considered close renditions to the actual stain.
