Lambda Light Chains
The antigen used for immunization is a pool of human lambda Bence Jones proteins. Therefore, a reagent with a particularly wide specificity for lambda-chains is obtained. The specificity is directed against surface as well as hidden determinants and has been ascertained by gel precipitation techniques and immunohistochemistry.
A0193 is excellent for the typing of free and bound monoclonal lambda-chains by immunoelectrophoresis and immunofixation.

Intended Use
F0199 is intended for demonstration of kappa light chains in tissues, and may also be used for other immunofluorescencetechniques. Interpretation of results must be made within the context of the patient's clinical history and other diagnostic tests by a certified professional.
Immunogen
Polyclonal immunoglobulin light chains of lambda type isolated from a pool of human sera.
Specificity
F0199 labels free lambda chains as well as lambda chains in intact immunoglobulin molecules. Traces of contaminating antibodies have been removed by solid-phase absorption.
In crossed immunoelectrophoresis, only the lambda precipitation arch appears when using 37.5 µL antibody per cm2 gelarea against 2 µL human plasma. Staining: Coomassie Brilliant Blue.

Reagent Provided
The Anti-Human Lambda Light Chains conjugate, F0199, has been produced from a purified immunoglobulin fraction ofrabbit antiserum. F0199 is provided in liquid form in phosphate buffer containing 15 mmol/L NaN3, pH 7.2.
