Monoclonal Mouse Anti-Human
Epithelial Membrane Antigen (EMA)
Clone E29
Labels normal and neoplastic epithelium.
The antibody is very useful together with the monoclonal antibodies to leucocyte common antigen (Code M0701) and cytokeratin (Code M0821), which label cells of lymphoid and epithelial origin, respectively. In the classification of hematolymphoid neoplasms, the antibody labels Reed-Sternberg cells in nodular lymphocyte predominant Hodgkin's lymphoma and neoplastic cells in a subset of anaplastic large cell lymphomas.
Mesothelioma (FFPE) stained with FLEX Anti-EMA, Code IR629/IS629.
Mesothelioma. The malignant mesothelioma cells show a strong staining reaction in membrane and cytoplasm.
Clinical application for IR629/IS629 For identification of tumors of epithelial origin in a wide variety of tissues.

- Optimized staining performance of both high- and low-expression structures
- Crisp and clear staining with no background
- Optimal laboratory efficiency with ready-to-use antibodies on Dako Autostainer Link 48
FLEX Monoclonal Mouse Anti-Human Epithelial Membrane Antigen, Clone E29, Ready-to-Use (Link), is intended for use in immunohistochemistry together with Autostainer Link instruments. This antibody is useful for the identification of epithelial cells in a wide variety of tissues and is a useful tool for the identification of neoplastic epithelia (1). EMA is present on the membrane of secretory epithelia. The absence of EMA staining with monoclonal mouse anti-human epithelial membrane antigen, clone E29 is considered to be strongly suggestive of non-epithelial neoplasia (2). The clinical interpretation of any staining or its absence should be complemented by morphological studies using proper controls and should be evaluated within the context of the patient's clinical history and other diagnostic tests by a qualified pathologist.
Clone: E29. Isotype: Ig2a, kappa.
