Polyclonal Rabbit Anti-Human
Chorionic Gonadotropin (hCG)
The isolated β-chain of hCG is used for immunization. The antibody cross-reacts with human luteinizing hormone (LH).
For immunohistochemical use, the cross-reaction with LH will not cause misinterpretation, and the antibody is well-suited for the demonstration of hCG in trophoblastic elements of germ cell tumors.
Seminoma (FFPE) stained with FLEX Anti-hCG, Code IR508/IS508.
Seminoma. The neoplastic syncytiotrophoblast cells show a moderate to strong cytoplasmic staining reaction.
Clinical application for IR508/IS508. For identification of human chorionic gonadotropin-containing trophoblastic elements in germ cell tumors, choriocarcinoma, granulosa cell tumor, hydatiform mole and seminoma.
Disclaimer: Due to variances among color computer monitors, the colors you see on your screen may not be the exact colors of the stain. The image you see should be considered close renditions to the actual stain.
- Optimized staining performance of both high- and low-expression structures
- Crisp and clear staining with no background
- Optimal laboratory efficiency with ready-to-use antibodies on Dako Autostainer Link 48
FLEX Polyclonal Rabbit Anti-Human Chorionic Gonadotropin, Ready-to-Use (Link), is intended for use in immunohistochemistry together with Autostainer Link instruments. This antibody is useful for the identification of hCG-containing cells (1) and may be used for the demonstration of trophoblastic elements, e.g. in germ cell tumors (2). The clinical interpretation of any staining or its absence should be complemented by morphological studies using proper controls and should be evaluated within the context of the patient's clinical history and other diagnostic tests by a qualified pathologist.
In crossed immunoelectrophoresis only the hCG precipitation arch appears when using 12.5 µL Dako Code A0231 per cm2 gel area against 10 µL of concentrated urine from pregnant women (15th-16th week of gestation). No precipitation is seen when 12.5 µL concentrated antibody per cm2 gel area is tested against 10 µL of normal human plasma. Staining: Coomassie Brilliant Blue.
