Monoclonal Rabbit Anti-Human

Cyclin D1

Clone EP12

This monoclonal rabbit antibody reacts with cyclin D1, a 36 kDa protein encoded by the CCND1 (bcl-1) gene located on chromosome 11q13. Cyclin D1 is part of the cell cycle regulation and oncogenic transformation in mammalian cells.

The cyclin-dependent kinases, CDK4 and CDK6, are associated with and activated by cyclin D1 thereby promoting G1 phase progression by retinoblastoma protein phosphorylating along with related proteins. Cyclin D1 is of interest in the investigation of tumorigenesis, as CCND1 amplification and/or cyclin D1 overexpression have been demonstrated in a variety of tumors. Antibodies to cyclin D1 are especially useful for identification of mantle cell lymphomas in the context of lymphoid tumors (1-3).

Mantle cell lymphoma (FFPE) stained with FLEX Anti-Cyclin D1, Code IR083/IS083.

Mantle cell lymphoma. The neoplastic cells show a moderate to strong nuclear staining reaction.

Clinical application for IR083/IS083. For identification of mantle cell lymphoma. Most B-cell chronic lymphocytic leukemia/small lymphocytic lymphoma should be negative.
